Dave Warner

Dave Warner is an author, musician and screenwriter once nominated by Bob Dylan as one of his favourite Australian music artists. Dave formed Australia’s first punk band Pus, in 1972 and came to national prominence in 1978 with his gold album Mug’s Game and his band, Dave Warner’s from the Suburbs.

An award-winning author with both the Ned Kelly Award for Best Crime Fiction and the West Australian Premier’s Award for Literature, Dave has written more than twenty published books including fifteen crime novels, the most recent of which is When It Rains (Fremantle Press).

Dave has written movies starring the likes of Kylie Minogue, Molly Ringwald and Travis Fimmel, and for many of Australia’s most beloved TV series including `McLeod’s Daughters’ and ‘Packed to the Rafters.’
