Jodie Webster is a Publisher of Books for Children and Young Adults at Allen & Unwin. She has worked with many acclaimed authors and illustrators including CS Pacat, Isobelle Carmody, Margo Lanagan, Vanessa Len, Shaun Tan, Lili Wilkinson, Demet Divaroren, Astrid Scholte, Barry Jonsberg, Gary Lonesborough, Huda Hayek, Rebecca Lim, Scott Westerfeld, Wendy Orr, Bren MacDibble, Zana Fraillon, Sofie Laguna, Ellie Marney, Kate Constable, Will Kostakis and Renee Treml.
Jodie will be taking Zoom pitching sessions from Melbourne on the Saturday of the festival, looking for YA and middle grade Fantasy and SpecFic books.
She loves middle grade and young adult novels with enchanting voices, emotional heart, inspired world-building, superb storytelling and characters who experience the world in life-affirming ways – stories that show young readers that anything might be possible.
