David Allan-Petale is a West Australian writer whose novel Locust Summer was long listed for the 2021 ALS Gold Medal for “an outstanding literary work”, shortlisted for the 2022 WA Premier’s Western Australian Premier’s Book Awards – The Premier’s Prize for an Emerging Writer, and shortlisted for The Australian/Vogel Literary Award.
