
Tess Allen is an avid reader, creative writer and an active participant in the WA writing community. She is currently working on completion of her first long-form piece – a contemporary women’s fiction novel set in both Australia and the UK.
In 2023, she successfully applied for a mentorship on the Path 2 Published program with author, Sasha Wasley. She has had flash fiction writing success, including winning Australian Writers’ Centre’s Furious Fiction in 2022. She has a non-fiction story featured in Night Parrot Press’s Micro Memoir anthology ‘Ourselves’ and has a Flash Fellowship placement with the Katharine Susannah Pritchard’s Writing Centre in Winter 2024.
Prior to turning her focus to creative writing, Tess worked professionally as a sustainability consultant, in project management and event management.
