When Tracey was a kid, she filled notebooks with stories about kind dragons and talking dolphins before she exchanged her pen for a career creating impact in social and environmental movements across Australia. But writing clung to her like a secret begging to be spilled and, and by the end of her twenties, the pull was impossible to resist. Now, she’s in the final year of her BA in Creative Writing and has graduated from the Australian Writers’ Centre’s ‘Write Your Novel’ program. Her short stories have been recognised with Honorable Mentions in Elegant Literature competitions, and one was long-listed for the inaugural Mind Shine Bright award.
Tracey writes character driven speculative fiction, sometimes drawing on her own life experiences to explore queerness, identity, family and grief in her work—always with a healthy sprinkle (or more) of magic, sass and adventure.
